MAG-DRIVE—New permanent magnets for electric-vehicle drive applications

Welcome to MAG-DRIVE project web site

MAG-DRIVE project specifically responds to the call GC.SST.2013-2. Next generation electric motors, Level 2 - CP-FP - Call: FP7-SST-2013-RTD-1, with its emphasis on producing novel or substantially improved materials for permanent magnets, replacing or greatly reducing the rare-earth content, which will result in weight reductions and powerdensity increases, making the magnets more suitable for recycling and dismantling, and leading to increased efficiency when integrated into automotive systems.

MAG-DRIVE is an EU funded project

All research done within the MAG-DRIVE project is partially funded by the European Community through the Seventh Framework Programme under grant agreement no. 605348

5.2.2015 - 6.2.2015- MAG-DRIVE 18 month meeting and a workshop on Magnetic Materials Research & Spark Plasma Sintering

On the 5th of February the 18 month meeting of the MAG-DRIVE consortium took place in London at the Queen Mary, University of London. All consortium partners were present and presented their work done in the last 6 months.
Worksop on Magnetic Materials Research & Spark Plasma Sintering was organised on the next day. Invited speakers presented some of the interesting fields of research, including muons, biomedical application of magnetic materials and various others.

Next workshop and meeting is planned to be in September in France.
